Book 7
The Book of Etiquette of Traveling
كتاب آداب السفر
This section covers the etiquette of travel, from setting out and choosing companions to encamping, resting, and helping one another along the way. Many of its chapters are supplications: for mounting a ride, for ascending and descending, when fearing harm, and on arriving and returning home. It encourages returning to one's family without needless delay. The theme is carrying remembrance of Allah and good company through the uncertainties of a journey.
